As a key member of Spillane’s ensemble\, Nigel’s fiddle playing has graced numerous recordings and live performances\, including the acclaimed Magic Nights in the Lobby Bar and the ambitious Gaelic folk opera Fíoruisce – The Legend of the Lough. His ability to weave intricate melodic lines around contemporary folk songwriting has made him a sought-after accompanist and a familiar face on major stages like the Cork Opera House and Cyprus Avenue. \nBeyond his work as an accompanist\, Nigel is a dedicated traditionalist. He has been featured prominently on TG4’s Geantraí\, performing alongside other masters of the craft such as Niall Vallely and Cormac de Fréin. He was also a core member of the acclaimed stage production Pulses of Tradition\, which showcased the rich heritage of Cork’s music and dance to international audiences. \nWhether leading a high-energy session in a local pub or contributing to experimental folk projects\, Nigel Grufferty’s playing is marked by a soulful precision and a deep connection to the regional styles of Munster. His presence at the Ballincollig Winter Music Festival brings a wealth of experience and a true “musician’s musician” energy to the lineup.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overflow=”visible” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” centered_text=”true” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” column_padding_type=”default” gradient_type=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

At the heart of the group are the exceptional talents of Sonny Condell of Tír na nÓg\, alongside Philip King and Robbie Overson—musicians whose collective work has helped shape the sound and spirit of contemporary Irish folk and roots music. Renowned for performances that are both intimate and electrifying\, Scullion’s music blends tradition with fearless experimentation\, resulting in songs that feel timeless yet urgent. Their legacy continues to resonate with new generations\, underpinned by a rich back catalogue that captures decades of creative excellence.\nSharing the stage is INNI-K (Eithne Ní Chatháin)\, one of Ireland’s most compelling and distinctive contemporary artists. A singer\, multi-instrumentalist\, composer\, and songwriter\, Inni-K draws deeply from her grounding in sean-nós and traditional Irish music while consistently pushing beyond its boundaries. Her work is defined by emotional clarity\, textural depth\, and a willingness to explore new sonic landscapes. \nHer fourth studio album\, Still A Day\, released in September 2025\, marks her most expansive and ambitious work to date. Fully original and creatively fearless\, the album weaves folk foundations with elements of ambient\, jazz\, and art-song\, resulting in music that is both meditative and transformative. Critics have praised its luminous sensitivity and emotional reach\, describing it as an album that unsettles\, consoles\, and ultimately affirms. \nTogether\, these artists represent the depth\, evolution\, and continuing vitality of Irish music—rooted in tradition\, yet boldly forward-looking.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overflow=”visible” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” centered_text=”true” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” column_padding_type=”default” gradient_type=”default”][nectar_btn size=”large” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”regular” button_color_2=”Accent-Color” solid_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”none” text=”Tickets” url=”https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/scullion-special-guest-inni-k-tickets-1978113723396?aff=ebdsoporgprofile”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Originally from San Francisco\, Athena’s musicality was forged under the tutelage of masters like Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh and Alasdair Fraser. Her storied career includes starring as the principal fiddler in Riverdance on Broadway\, touring with the Sharon Shannon Band\, and a long-standing collaboration with Mick Moloney in The Green Fields of America. Now based in Tuscany\, Athena returns to the Irish stage with a style that is as elegant as it is energetic\, characterized by a unique “global” perspective on traditional tunes. \nJoining her is Liam Flanagan\, a native of North County Cork and one of the most respected fiddle and banjo players in the country. Liam is perhaps best known as a key member of the legendary Cork band North Cregg\, with whom he has toured the world and recorded extensively. His playing is deeply rooted in the rhythmic “lift” of the Sliabh Luachra tradition\, yet he is celebrated for a versatility that has seen him perform with high-profile acts like Danú and the Derek Hickey Quartet.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overflow=”visible” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” centered_text=”true” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” column_padding_type=”default” gradient_type=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

For generations\, the bar has served as a welcoming space where the heritage of Irish music is preserved through the lived experience of the session. Its history is etched into the very fabric of the building\, which has remained a steadfast supporter of local artists and traveling musicians alike. \nTraditional music at Healy’s is characterized by its intimate\, unforced nature. Rather than a formal performance\, the sessions here prioritize the organic exchange of tunes—jigs\, reels\, and hornpipes—that have been passed down through the Cork and Kerry traditions. This commitment to the “pure drop” of trad music has made Healy’s a respected name among players who value authenticity and the social connection that a great session provides. It remains a place where the history of the town meets the living pulse of Irish culture\, ensuring that the old songs and stories continue to find an audience in the modern day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overflow=”visible” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” centered_text=”true” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” column_padding_type=”default” gradient_type=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

The current lineup features Michael O’Sullivan (banjo)\, Flor Rahilly (guitar and vocals)\, Stan O’Sullivan (fiddle)\, and Lisa O’Sullivan (fiddle). Their sound is defined by a distinct “Sliabh Luachra” style—a rhythmic\, dance-focused tradition from the mountainous border of Cork and Kerry—infused with elements of folk and country. \nBeyond their work as a traditional ensemble\, the band’s members are stalwarts of the Irish music industry. Three of the group—Michael\, Flor\, and Stan—are also founding members of the acclaimed indie-rock band Stanley Super 800\, a crossover that brings a unique contemporary edge to their traditional arrangements. \nFrom long-standing residencies at legendary venues like The Lobby Bar and DeBarra’s Folk Club to international stages in Sri Lanka\, Italy\, and Russia\, The Céilí Allstars have spent over two decades bridging the gap between old-world heritage and modern energy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overflow=”visible” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” centered_text=”true” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” column_padding_type=”default” gradient_type=”default”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Nominated for the RTÉ Choice Prize for Irish Album of the Year\, the album showcases her gift for intimate storytelling\, rich arrangements\, and emotional honesty\, marking a confident evolution from her 2020 debut Hemet\, which received nominations for the RTÉ Folk Awards and the Choice Music Prize. \nProduced by Tommy McLaughlin at Attica Studios\, Come As You Are is rooted in vulnerability and introspection. It invites listeners to embrace authenticity while exploring personal doubt\, relationships\, and questions of direction. Regan pairs delicate folk instrumentation with expansive\, cinematic soundscapes\, creating a work that feels both personal and ambitious. \nRegan first gained attention with Hemet\, a striking debut that led to extensive touring across Ireland\, the UK\, Australia\, and beyond. She has supported artists including CMAT\, Villagers\, John Grant\, SOAK\, Patrick Watson\, James Vincent McMorrow\, and Sam Amidon\, honing a powerful live presence and deep connection with audiences. \nInspired by artists such as Julia Jacklin\, Caroline Rose\, and Wilco\, Come As You Are confirms Regan as a singular voice in contemporary Irish music. With the album now available worldwide and a Choice Prize nomination secured\, 2025 is shaping up to be an important year as she continues to evolve as an artist.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” column_margin=”default” column_direction=”default” column_direction_tablet=”default” column_direction_phone=”default” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” row_border_radius=”none” row_border_radius_applies=”bg” overflow=”visible” overlay_strength=”0.3″ gradient_direction=”left_to_right” shape_divider_position=”bottom” bg_image_animation=”none”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_tablet=”inherit” column_padding_phone=”inherit” column_padding_position=”all” column_element_direction_desktop=”default” column_element_spacing=”default” centered_text=”true” desktop_text_alignment=”default” tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_backdrop_filter=”none” column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” column_link_target=”_self” column_position=”default” gradient_direction=”left_to_right” overlay_strength=”0.3″ width=”1/1″ tablet_width_inherit=”default” animation_type=”default” bg_image_animation=”none” border_type=”simple” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” column_padding_type=”default” gradient_type=”default”][nectar_btn size=”jumbo” open_new_tab=”true” button_style=”regular” button_color_2=”Accent-Color” solid_text_color_override=”#ffffff” icon_family=”none” text=”Tickets” url=”https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/niamh-regan-tickets-1977594752139?aff=ebdsoporgprofile”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
